Italian programmer Andrea Mangia aka Populous

Populous has a way of inventing his own brand of instrumental hip-hop. The kind that transfers you to daisy fields, far away from the cement cities most of us know.

The tune “Charol Astra” takes you to a picnic where crunchy aluminum foil is unwrapped over and over again, and lemonade from a pitcher is poured into a cup, on repeat. Down the hatch, my friends.

Populous sounds like the artist Bibio falling from an apple tree in mid-June. Ripe for the pickin’. All flickery and guitar-ridden. Resolved like the end of a Summer day.
