New Music and Arts Festival Comes to the Dirty South

There are dozens of independent music festivals happening this Summer, but there’s only one that’s fresh on the electronica beat scene – Impulse Music and Arts Festival, June 15th-17th, 2012.

Settin’ up camp just outside Atlanta, GA, Impulse is sure to be a unique festival experience for electroheads who love filling their souls to the brim with strange sounds, sweaty dancing, and trippy art, but have never experienced roughin’ it in the dirty south.

With such an extensive lineup, I’m thinkin’ Impulse is fixin’ to be this year’s ‘it’ electronic music festival.

The good folks at Whateverz Klever will be flying down hot West Coast acts Gladkill, Stephan Jacobs, Sugarpill, and others for the first ever Impulse Music and Arts Festival.

The sounds at Impulse will vary from the freshly-pressed wobbles of VibeSquaD to the spooky vocoder voices of NastyNasty, and you’ll get to hear them from the comfort of your tent or RV in the forest of Durhamtown Plantation in Union Point, GA. And in case you were wondering, campfires are allowed!

Expect talented artists performing, festival-goers partying, spontaneous mud fights (hey, it could happen), and of course, the occasional painted tit.

If you’re ready to taste a lil’ bit of the South, snatch up a ticket or two, if you’re feelin’ the festy love.

More info to come, so keep checkin’ back, music lovers!
