The Plainfield Project

The five member rock and roll, jam, reggae, funk-roots machine has been garnering a lot of attention lately, earning impressive accolades.

Voted Charleston’s best local band in 2008 and 2009, the band sounds like a bit like the always dubby Sublime, but with catchy, simple, honest, no-strings-attached lyrics backed by vocals provided by Carter West (lead vocals and lead guitar) and Ben Fagan (vocals and guitar).

Matt Thompson brings the bass and Daniel Shahid delivers the beat through excellent drum-playing. The keys and organ get some love from Ross Bogan, and who doesn’t like hearing an organ every now and then.
