Anyone out there remember this twinkling gem of a children’s novel?
Well, I didn’t until a memory bubble floated up from the caverns of my brain.
Now, I am tempted to buy this bedtime story “The Big Pets” by Lane Smith.
I mean who wouldn’t want to ride a gigantic hamster or own a snake that can turn into an entire jungle, or even frolic with dogs in a giant bone yard.
With cats that drink from the milky way and drinkable craters of milk on planets’ surfaces, how can one resist rummaging through the book’s imaginative settings and peering in on the personable creatures.
Oh, the memories.
