Where does Dubstep go from here?
Ok, so Dubstep, the U.K. genre known for it’s whompy, get-your-ass-on-the-floor, vibrating basslines and its shuffled half-time rhythms, is beginning to get old, some say.
I beg to differ.
Artists like DJ Joker, Burial, and Starkey are allowing the genre to transcend other genres such as House, creating an overlapping of sound waves and making room for new fans.
Check out Emalkay’s newest tune “When I look at You” from Dub Police Records. The song was featured on none other than Caspa’s essential mix. Sounds legit’ to me.
